A wonderful town

Onto the car he steps, red cart in tow

He performs sleight-of-hand

Wide-eyed, we regard

The dove’s fluttering wings

The rabbit’s wiggling nose

Only in New York

  1. That’s a wonderful poem. I live in London and although I must say I’ve never witnessed a magic act on our subway, I’ve seen some pretty talented musicians!

  2. You’ve captured some of the sights
in New York that aren’t as well-known.
The rabbit’s nose must be seen in Central Park,
right? The City has a little bit of country in it.

    Nice poem. Short and sweet.
